The city's public playgrounds, outdoor gyms and the Olympic Street skate park have been re-opened.
Griffith councillors voted for the change during an extra-ordinary meeting on Thursday.
The change follows a loosening of state restrictions including allowing small public gatherings.
However, no more than 10 people are allowed to gather at any of the city's public playgrounds or at the outdoor gyms at Ted Scobie Oval or City Park.
Council is working to replace signs at the parks to remind people of the restrictions which are still in place.
Staff will also be monitoring the number of people the public facilities.
Council is encouraging residents to use facilities "with caution" and ensure they've washed their hands and assume the person using the equipment before has the virus.
