The event - organised by the Griffith branch of the CWA - saw attendees treated to a range of food and activities, with arts, crafts and games for the children and stalls and live entertainment for the adults - with the branch's chocolate wheel being a big winner on the day, with tickets selling steadily throughout the event.
President of the Griffith CWA branch Kerrie Brill said she was happy with the turnout for the event, with the funds raised for the branch likely to go to ongoing maintenance of the CWA Hall.
"[It's] been wonderful - great response, great turnout and great support from stall holders and volunteers," Mrs Brill said.
"The funds stay here in our town ... mostly we've got to maintain our building here so that's where a lot of our funds go."
One of the biggest draw-cards for the children was a series of events held in the park's playground, with children racing to be the winner in a sack race and also attempting to show their strength in a tug-of-war, which also saw a handful of adults jump on board to help their side take the win.
