The Eagles won the toss and elected to bat however Leagues were able to make the better start with Teei Piawi claiming the early wicket of Phil Burge (3).
Hayden Forner joined Jamie Winkler out in the middle, and the pair were able to get their side back on track with a 32-run partnership for the second wicket before Forner (12) was the second victim for Piawi.
The momentum continued to flow with Exies despite the wicket with Tom Spry and Winkler able to keep the runs ticking over at a steady rate to see Exies on the verge of 100 before Spry was caught by Andrew Madden off the bowling of Raj Singh (1/21).
Winkler (50) was able to post his half-century before falling to the bowling of Michael Cudmore while Craig Burge (1) followed closely behind when he was dismissed by Piawi (3/35) to see Exies sitting on 5/128 after 28.4 overs.
Connor Bock (26*) led the run-scoring from the Exies lower order while Paul Plummer (2/29) and Daniel Bozic (1/23) took three late wickets as the Eagles looked to add quick runs before declaring on 9/184 off 46 overs.
Leagues were left with chasing down the total in 39 overs for the outright win or scoring 156 or above and seeing out their overs to take the winning draw.
The Panthers put 19 runs on the board before trouble struck.
Ryan Greenaway (11) and Andrew Madden (0) fell to the bowling of Duane Ashcroft (2/19) while Matt Keenan (10) and Bozic (3) were dismissed by Marc Tucker to see the Leagues side fall to 4/29.
The equation didn't get much better as Patrick Payne (3) became Tucker's (3/13) third wicket before Ben Leach tried to lead a fightback for his side.
Leach was able to put on 13 runs with Plummer (0) before Piawi and Leach combined for Leagues best partnership of the innings.
The Panthers hopes were dashed when Leach (23) fell to the bowling of Bock to see Leagues sitting on 7/63 after 17.1 overs.
Piawi tried to keep the scoreboard ticking over however with pressure mounting Bock (3/13) picked up the wicket of Cudmore (1) while Exies skipper Andy Arnold cleaned up Piawi (21) and Singh (0) in quick succession to see Leagues bowled out for just 79.
The result means Exies are now 23 points ahead of the fifth-placed Leagues side who just remain in the hunt for a top-four finish but will need Exies to outright Hanwood while the Panthers will have to do the same to Diggers.
