The bridge crossing main drain J is part of the $1.375 million Hanwood Cycleway project which began in April last year.
The custom designed arch was lowered into position, alongside the Kidman Way, on Sunday.
The bridge's approaches and an asphalt seal are needed before the bridge is open to the public in March.
The 20 metre long bridge is the second bridge which runs from Bunnings to Baiada, the other bridge which is still under construction is at the intersection of Beaumont Road in Hanwood.
A pedestrian refuge south of Sangster Crescent is currently being designed.
Griffith City Council has received $975,000 from the NSW Active Transport program as well as a contribution from Baiada to complete the project.
The Hanwood Cycleway is due to be completed in June.
