Attendees were treated to a morning tea with a host of treats as well as entertainment from singer-songwriter Grant Luhrs during the centre's Seniors Expo event, which formed part of NSW Seniors Festival celebrations - an event for seniors across the state which runs from February 12 to 23.
Centre manager of Griffith Central Cheryl Wood said this year's morning tea drew in the largest crowd of seniors yet, with others also visiting the centre throughout the day to take in the larger expo which had been set up.
"We have about 160 people here today which is our biggest ever [turnout]," Ms Wood said.
"Because it is seniors week we thought we would extend our morning tea and we've got 15 community groups and organisations that have got a stall here today up the other end of the centre [from the morning tea] so they can wander through and find out what services are available to seniors."

Groups such as the Griffith Retirement Estate, Collier Trenerry, the Griffith Prostate Cancer Support Group and the Murrumbidgee Local Health District had stalls in the expo, allowing seniors to talk about a range of issues and services available to them.
The morning tea and expo form part of wider Seniors Festival celebrations throughout the city, with the Griffith City Library also due to hold an event on Wednesday with a reading and a showing of the 1949 film Little Women.
