An argument at a Griffith club landed a man in hot water after he made many threats, some armed, against staff.

About 2.00pm on Saturday, the 61 year old man was at a club on Harward Road Griffith when he became argumentative, making threats against staff, and had to be kicked out.
Later that evening around 11pm, he once again tried to get into the club.
Challenged by a staff member at the doorway, an argument once again ensued.
Griffith police say the man then produced an "improvised" weapon and continued to make further threats to staff.
Staff locked and secured the building as the man hung around outside, leaving shortly afterwards.
Police arrested him a short time later at his home, taking him to the station for charging.

He was hit with intimidation, reentering a licensed premises after being excluded, and being armed with intention to harm.
The male was granted conditional bail and is set to appear before Griffith Local Court on April 15.
In other news, another man has been charged with offensive behaviour after trying to get into a Griffith club multiple times after being kicked out.
About 10.20pm police attended a pub on Jondaryan Avenue after receiving reports a man was refusing to leave and was causing trouble.
Police found the heavily intoxicated 27-year-old-man, who had been arguing with staff after being denied entry.
He had also become involved in an fight with another patron outside of the club.
Police gave him tickets for remaining close to the club, and for his offensive behaviour.
