Eliza Baddock's hard work and determination has been recognised as she took out the Griffith Sports Council overall award at the Griffith City Council Australia Day ceremony on Sunday.

It has been a great year for Baddock on the sporting field which is highlighted by her representing her country at the Touch World Cup held in Malaysia.
The touch star gave an insight into the conditions she faced as she accepted her award on Sunday morning.
"The experience I had in Malaysia was incredible. I don't think I have ever been so hot in my life," she said.
"Playing in 51 degrees was nothing compared to what I experience at Collina every week."
After gaining attention playing for the Eastern Suburb Roosters in the Sydney Vawdon Cup competition, Baddock was selected to trial for the Australian World Cup teams in Brisbane.
Baddock was selected into the Australian Women's 27s team who competed at the Touch Football World Cup in Malaysia. The side made the final and took out the silver medal. She was the only Country NSW representative in the team.
Along with her touch achievements, Baddock helped the Yenda All Stars Rugby League team take out the Albury 9s carnival for the third year in a row and also played a role in the Griffith Blacks women's team who were crowned premiers in the SIRU competition.
Baddock was also a key component and assistant coach of the Yenda Bluesheilas League Tag side who reached the finals series.
The talented sportswomen thanked the Griffith community as a whole for the support.
"It was an event that I paid for all by myself and the fundraising and support from the Griffith community was amazing," she said.
"Thank you to all of the supporters, Yenda league tag, Griffith Blacks who support me at a local level, particularly Sam Panarello."
The Senior Sportsperson of the Year award was taken out by Jennifer Massey after she enjoyed a great 2019 on the bike.
Massey came away with gold medals in the NSW Master's Road Race Championships, NSW Master's Criterium Championship and Australian Master's Road Race Championships alongside a bronze medal in the Australian Master's Criterium Championships and a third-place at Blayney to Bathurst Cycling Classic.
