After last year's event had to be cancelled due to hot temperatures on the Australia Day weekend, organiser Michael Hodgson is pleased with how things are shaping up.
It is good to have some of the people who don't normally play cricket getting involved.

"We are one team short at the moment, but we have enough players around, so hopefully we are able to find the 16th team," he said.
"Every other year numbers have been pretty easy to find, but this year is has been a bit difficult.
"We have a lot of locals playing this year, but there have been less teams entering from other areas.
"It is good to have some of the people who don't normally play cricket getting involved."
The event is normally held on Australia Day, but this year it will be held on the day before to try and allow those who would be attending other Australia Day events to take part.
"The younger kids want to go to the awards and others tend to go down to the river," he said.
"The pub is also able to stay open later on a Saturday, which is also a bonus."
The action on Saturday will get underway at 9am.
