Just two weeks after putting out a community call to assist victims of the bushfire crisis, Lisa Rand had collected over 200 boxes of donations from Riverina locals.

"You name it, they've given it," Ms Rand said.
"The whole thing has been a really huge success."
MIA community members contributed food, water, clothes, linen and towels among other essentials to assist those who have lost everything in recent weeks.
The donations were taken to a relief centre in Yass, with Lisa and her friends leaving at 5am in a truck, trailer and ute to deliver the goods.
"I don't mind where it goes, as long as it gets to the fire victims," Ms Rand explained.
"I've still got people messaging me asking if I can take more stuff, but I can't take anymore because my garage is completely full."
It took the four volunteers a full day to complete the round trip, with packing and sorting taking a further 48 hours before departure.
Despite the overcrowding of her own premises, Lisa ensured that every donation found a deserving home.
She recently forwarded four boxes of used towels and linen to the Yoogali Veterinary Centre.
"Whatever we can't use, I've found a home for," Ms Rand explained.
"Some of the donations were a bit old and crusty, so I didn't want them going."
Lisa was blown away by the immediate response from the MIA community, after accumulating so many donations in such a short period of time.
From a quick post on Griffith Community Noticeboard to a garage packed to the rafters, Lisa could not be happier with how everything worked out.
"I just want to give special mention to the Hay community for their donations, and Lisa Touhey, Judy Cimador and Julie Dawson for their help sorting and packing," Ms Rand said.
"Also Toni and Nudge for their help with the delivery to Yass."
