The family of firefighters are all eager to play their part in bringing the holiday cheer, especially amidst the hot and dry conditions that have ruined Christmas for so many Australians.
President Angela Sampson of the Hanwood RFS says these types of events play a key part in bringing communities together.
"We're all very excited," Ms Sampson explained.
"We've had two wonderful years and now we're looking forward to our third one."
Santa will be visiting 14 different locations across Griffith on Sunday.
If you do happen to miss Saint Nick while he is handing out gifts, Hanwood RFS is assuring that he will be clearly visible en route.
"If he doesn't get to stop at a park near you, you can still see Santa from your front yard," Ms Sampson said.
The total fire ban currently in place will be lifted on Saturday, making way for somewhat of a celebration during the Santa run this year.
Sunday is predicted to be cloudy with a maximum of 35 degrees, culminating in a moderate to high fire risk.
Hanwood RFS will be boasting three trucks and an extensive team of volunteers, just in case disaster does strike during the 2019 run.
"The run promotes our brigade and promotes that we support our community," captain Adam Bertolissi said.
"It's great that we've got a community here that gets behind us by donating lollies and gifts."
Santa will begin his run from the fire station at 10am, heading to Restyn Park Hanwood, City Park, Noel Hogan Park, Apex Park, Ted Scobie Oval and then Chandler Park in consecutive order.
He will leave Chandler Park at 1pm, returning to Hanwood station via Blumer Avenue.
As part of the 2019 run, Hanwood RFS is encouraging MIA locals to have their fire safety plans in place.
"This year we are trying to raise bushfire awareness, which is vital," Mr Bertolissi explained.
"Our hampers have colouring-in books for the kids and bushfire survival plans for the parents."
