Amir Hassan Bin Marzuki, 19, and Mohamad Hafifi Haikal Min Abdullah, 28, both of Malaysia were charged with possessing fake documents and driving unlicensed.
Marzuki was stopped for a random breath test when he produced the fake licence.
Police noted several 'anomalies' on the licence, and asked him here he got it from.
He admitted he had never taken a test, but was told by the man he bought it off that it could be used. Marzuki said it cost $300.
He had previously been before Griffith Local Court for being unlicensed in 2018, for which he received a $500 fine. Marzuki was convicted of both charges on Wednesday, fined $500 for each, and disqualified for three months.
Abdullah was caught driving unlicensed in June, when he was pulled over after cutting in front of a marked police car, almost causing an accident.
When questioned by police, Abdullah at first denied the licence was fake.
He said he had lost his wallet containing his real Malaysian drivers licence, and had sent a photo of himself and his Malaysian identity card to Malaysia to obtain a new copy.

He later admitted that he went to a class to get his licence in his home country, but had failed the test.
Police checks showed Abdullah was in Finley Local Court in December for driving unlicensed, where he said he "hadn't bothered" to get a driver's licence.
"The accused shows no regard for the safety of other road users and no regard for the rules that apply to him as he attempted to deceive police with a fake licence," facts tendered to court read.
Failing to turn up to court on Wednesday, Abdullah was convicted of both charges in his absence, fined $500 for using the fake licence, and fined $660 for driving unlicensed. He was also disqualified for 12 months.
