Exies Diggers have closed the gap at the top of the fourth-grade table after taking a comfortable win over Exies Eagles on Wednesday afternoon.

While Diggers lost three wickets in the space of 10 runs to see Diggers fall to 3/26 before Christian Dall'est and Angus Argent-Smith put the pressure back on the Exies side.
The fourth wicket pairing but on 32 runs before Dall'est (20) was caught out, but the wicket didn't slow the progress of the Diggers outfit.
Sean Garcia joined Argent-Smith and the pairing pushed their side past the 100-mark with a partnership of 53 runs before Argent-Smith (42) fell to the bowling of Jordan Williams (1/18).
Garcia (31*), Meli Ranitu (35) and Seamus Maley (10*) were able to keep the runs ticking over to see their side finish their 25 overs on 6/175.
It was a tough outing for the Exies side who struggled to get going with only one batsman able to break through to double digits.
The bowling of Maley (3/10) and Garcia (2/4) were the main wicket-takers as Exies were bowled out for 36 in eight overs.
In the other game, Hanwood were able to hang on to take a victory against Leagues Panthers.
It was a slow start for the Hanwood side who fell to 3/22 before the middle order stood up.
Rahul Giran (18) and Ryan Mecham (24) started the fightback while Josh Serafin (15), Luke Cannon (30) and Nicholas McGibbon (11*) added late runs to see Hanwood bowled out for 142 with 23.4 overs bowled.
While Leagues lost the wicket of Jordan Virago (5) to the bowling of Blake Flanagan (1/13), but Clancy Male and Alex Minato lead a fightback for the Panthers.
The pair were able to get their side on track with a 62-run stand before Male (28) was caught off the bowling of Cannon (1/5) and Angad Brar (0) being run out the next ball to put the pressure on the Panthers.
Minato (53 ret.) and Harry Morel (20) kept their side in the fight however the Panthers ran out of overs to finish their 25 overs on 6/134 to see Hanwood come away with an eight-run win.
