The appeal aims to gather gifts of up to $20 in value and pass them on to children who have been diagnosed with cancer and other chronic illnesses.
Country Hope's Griffith family liaison officer Bev Devery said the appeal aims to ensure every child can have a smile on their face come Christmas time.
"There are some who won't be able to come home for Christmas," Ms Devery said.
Ms Devery said this year's appeal will see gifts go to 34 families and suggested Lego sets, makeup and Nerf guns as consistent winners in the appeal.

Country Hope general manager Ellie Webb said the appeal help to showcase the generosity of the community and their willingness to give during the Christmas season.
"The support of the community makes a huge difference in helping our families," Ms Webb said.
"Our local communities enjoy giving gifts because they recognise that a child will really benefit from it.
"Every year hundreds of gifts are donated through the gift appeal and we are always overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers and the wider community."
Beyond Bank's Karen Garrod said the company enjoys contributing to the appeal every year.
"Our local branch staff are looking forward to supporting Country Hope through the gift appeal again this year," Ms Garrod said.
The presents will be handed out to the children by Santa at Country Hope's Christmas party, which will take place at Griffith Star Bowling on December 8.
Those looking to contribute to the appeal can do so by donating presents at the Beyond Bank branch located on Yambil Street.
The appeal will run until November 29.
