Keith Mott has spent his entire life working in a number of different jobs.
From Riverina wine country to city lights across the nation, Mr Mott worked as a barber, baker, roustabout and scaffolder.
Well into his retirement and with an 87th birthday approaching in late November, Keith had thought he'd seen it all.
That was until his granddaughter Gemma Atkin surprised him with the first helicopter ride of his life.
"Don't ever be afraid to go in one," Mr Mott said.
"One of the best things I've ever done in my life, and this area is especially something to behold."
Ms Atkins organised the ride with the help of Greg McWilliams, an esteemed Riverina pilot. Mr Mott credited his operating ability and smooth ride.
After a humble life working hard, it's a pleasure to see that Keith has been given a thrilling surprise that he thoroughly enjoyed.
