The competition runs off modified rules and oval size to ensure women of all ages and abilities are able to participate.
Emma McClelland from the Griffith Swans feels that it is an excellent way for ladies to try out a new sport in a very social environment.
"It is an opportunity to try a slightly different sport which provides a bit of a challenge both mentally and physically," she said.
"For the younger girls, it is a good way to get into the sport in a social environment having seen the AFLW at a higher level.
"They are able to see that progression, and we had quite a number in that 18-year-old bracket playing last season."
The competition will run on Friday nights from 6pm at Ted Scobie Oval, will run for six weeks starting on November 1 and is open for females aged from 16 years and older.
In recent years the competition has seen 60-70 girls register and McClelland is hopeful for similar numbers this season.
"We are looking at running a five-to-six-team competition," she said.
"We are hoping to have a 12-a-side competition, but if the numbers don't allow for that, it will be a 9-a-side competition like last season."
Players looking to play can get a team together or register as an individual with a registration link to be posted on the Griffith Swans Facebook page with registration costing $45 per player.
