The under 15s side climbed into the fight for a top-two finish with a win over the team from Dubbo and the surrounding area.
After a slow start which saw Leeton's Blake McDonald (0) and Griffith's Hayden Forner (2) dismissed without troubling the scorers, the Murrumbidgee side put on a positive rebuild with a 104-run partnership for the third wicket. Ben Signor (66), Jake Rand (28) and Noah Gaske (31*) helped their side reach 267 before being bowled out.
Signor (3/32) was the chief destroyer with the ball as well with Gaske (1/47) and Mason Ashcroft (1/13) among the other wicket-takers as the side picked up a 17-run win.
In the other games, the under 14s fell to a heavy eight-wicket defeat after being bowled out for 47 with Ben Fattore (17) the only Murrumbidgee batsmen to break double digits. The under 13s were also unsuccessful against Far West as they fell to a seven-wicket defeat.
The sides have one round left in the competition which will see them take on CAW Murray. The under 15s game will be held at Exies Oval on November 10.
