To raise much-needed funds and awareness for the McGrath Foundation, the local dealership will be hosting a fun, friendly and judge-free workshop that provides a simplified explanation of vehicle operations and major componentry to those who need a refresher on the basics.
The workshop on October 22 is not limited to women as the name might suggest, everyone is welcome.
The crash course will cover many vehicular aspects, including:
- Internal 'organs' explanation with tips and tricks on how to jump start a vehicle
- How to change a tyre and check your tyre pressure
- A hoisted look underneath a vehicle, followed by an explanation of servicing requirements and what is performed
- General car maintenance and vehicle safety tips
The evening will see free nibbles and refreshments courtesy of Eleni's Kuzina and Calabria Family Wines, and also a raffle full of great prizes.
This is the second year that Owen Toyota will be hosting this event, after the workshop was booked out in 2018.
"Supporting the community is important to us because we are so grateful for the level of support the community has shown our dealership over the years," owners Mark and Dean Owen explained.
"We also encourage our employees to get involved in our sponsored events which not only improves community engagement but fosters a happier workplace."
To book your spot in the workshop, there is a $10 fee which can be paid online via owentoyota.com.au
