Northey was cited over a fourth quarter incident with Tom Keogh in the Swans loss to Wagga Tigers last month.
Upon reviewing the evidence, Northey was charged with striking with the incident deemed intentional, the impact high and the contact high.
He was offered a three-game suspension with an early guilty plea.
The plea was lodged this week.
It will force him to the sidelines as Griffith look to go one better after being beaten in the past two grand finals.
However Swans defender James Taylor has escaped with a reprimand after being charged with rough conduct on Keogh.
The incident was graded as careless with low impact and high contact.
He took the early guilty plea on offer.
