The event was run by students from the school's Community Action Team, who rallied the rest of the school to bring as much dog food as possible.
Each of the classes came with a wobbling tower of cans, and when they were all put together it was a veritable mountain of dog food.
The food will be distributed among Needy Paws' volunteer carers, who look after the dogs while they wait for their forever-homes.
Needy Paws founder Ken Rebetzke said he was blown away by the sheer volume of dog food the students had managed to muster together.
"It's such a big effort and it's amazing what these kids manage to do," Mr Rebetzke said.
"Needy Paws are very, very grateful."
Those interested in rescuing a dog can call Mr Rebetzke on 0422 351 015.
