The bridge intersecting Kalinda Road and Scott's Road was damaged after a truck scraped along the railing on the bridge before hitting and damaging a part of citrus farmer Phillip Andreatta's fence.
Mr Andreatta, who lives next to the bridge on Scott's Road, said the B-double truck was going too fast and was too large of a vehicle to go across the bridge safely.
"When you're in a vehicle, especially a B-double, that's a lethal weapon," Mr Andreatta said.
"All they know is one speed - flat-out.
"You've gotta drive with caution."
The bridge, which was constructed by Murrumbidgee Irrigation (MI) over winter, replaces the former bridge linking the two roads.
While the trucking company involved in the accident has told Mr Andreatta they intend to pay for any damage caused to his property, Mr Andreatta said there could be more accidents in the future as the turning angle to get onto the bridge is too tight.
"I'm worried they're going to come through my fence," he said.

Mr Andreatta's worries about the bridge went unheard by MI until after the bridge was constructed, as he was not consulted by MI regarding the construction.
"In the past, when MI were doing things, they used to have shed meetings," Mr Andreatta said.
"Nothing's happening anymore. There is no communication, which is wrong."
A MI spokesman declined to comment on the matter other than to say they are "disappointed" there has been an accident on the bridge.
Griffith City Council were also contacted for comment regarding the bridge, but The Area News did not receive a response before the print deadline.
For Mr Andreatta, while he has accepted the location and angle of the bridge is unlikely to be altered, he is hopeful the company shows more sense in the future.
"I just want them to learn for the future not to do this again," he said.
"Consult with the neighbouring landholders, what's so hard about that?"
The accident comes after the second bridge along Scott's Road was taken out by MI over Winter, despite facing objections from users of the road.
