With the game finishing at 2-2 after extra time, it was the YSC side who progressed straight into the grand final with a 5-4 win on penalties.
Yoogali SC coach Luke Santonlin was pleased with his side's performance
"It's a great feeling to be heading to the grand final," he said.
"They are special, and you love the chance to play in them."
Yoogali SC started strongly but scoring the first goal seemed to make them lose a bit of composure.
"We got a bit looser after scoring," he said.
"You could see them (Yoogali FC) lift, and they got a bit more aggressive."
Heading into the shootout, Santolin had full confidence in Michael DePaoli to perform in goal
"You like to think that Michael would be able to save at least one and that was what he did," he said.
"He always stands tall in those moments, and that is why he is our captain."
It wasn't smooth sailing for the YSC who finished the game playing with 10 men after Andrew Keady went down with an injury and he wasn't the only one to pick up a knock.
"Andrew had to come off after we used our last substitute with a hamstring injury," he said
"Mitch (Bagiante, scorer of both goals in regular time) also had to come off, and we will have to monitor him.
"The week off will be a good chance to give these guys a break."
