Stephen Violi came up with the idea after getting fed up with the mounds of rubbish being left to fester up on Scenic Hill.
He decided to take matters in his own hands by holding a clean-up day from 10am to 2pm on September 1.
"The community's been very supportive of me in my new business, so I thought this would be a good way to give back to the community and clean up Scenic Hill at the same time," Mr Violi said.
He started Riverina Skips five months ago with his wife Larissa, and since then business has been taking off.
Mr and Mrs Violi will be hiding a $1000 token somewhere on Scenic Hill, and the money will go to whoever finds it.
If nobody finds it, the money will go Griffith Can Assist to support locals suffering from cancer.
Griffith City Council mayor John Dal Broi said the event sounded like a great idea, and that he "fully endorsed" it.
"I commend him, because he's a local contractor who collects waste and he does a good job," Councillor Dal Broi said.
"The amount of rubbish that is thrown out on Scenic Hill has been an ongoing problem for the community and the council."

Residents have long been complaining about the steadily accumulating mounds of rubbish, which include everything from takeout containers to entire fridges.
Council have set up CCTV cameras on the hill to catch litterbugs, and while they have caught a few people most have gotten away with it scot-free.
"Obviously the message hasn't gotten out there strong enough," Cr Dal Broi said.
"It's sad - Scenic Hill is a landmark of Griffith and we should look after it."
Griffith City Council encourage the reporting of illegal dumping and littering from a vehicle via ridonline.epa.nsw.gov.au or by calling Council Customer Service on 6962 8100.
