The day got off to a confusing start of the Panthers with opening their kit bag to get ready for first grade and finding they in possession of the Yenda Blueheelers kit rather than their own after a mistake at the cleaners.
Black and Whites' secretary Chris Vellis made the discovery just after the start of the league tag game and got in contact with the Yenda officials to organise a swap with the Blueheelers heading to Coleambally. The exchange was made in Darlington Point, and Vellis thanked the Blueheelers for their cooperation.
As for the game itself, the Hawks were able to make a fast start with tries to Harry Daudravuni and Troy Preston inside the opening 10 minutes setting the tone for the first half with the home side leading 20-6 at the break.
The Panthers got back into the game in the second half, but the Hawks came away with a 36-16 win.
