Newcastle-Hunter took a 7-5 lead into the break before their sheer weight of possession proved too much to handle.
The home side ran away with a 24-5 win but coach Andy Bedford was still pleased with the performance his side put in.
"We didn't do too badly," Bedford said. "We definitely matched it with them in patches but we just turned over a lot ball.
"The Hunter girls were really strong at the breakdown, quick onto the ball and I wouldn't know how many turnovers we gave but we just kept giving them play in good field position so they had majority of possession."
Defensively he was quite pleased with how the side coped with so much pressure being applied.
"They actually defended quite well considering how much tackling they had to do," Bedford said.
"It was the story of the day though as we kept giving them the footy back."
With the game the curtain-raiser to the Test match between Australia and Japan, Bedford was thrilled to be part of such a big game.
He thought it was great Southern Inland organised such a showcase for their female talent.
"The girls loved it and I think they all got a kick out of it," Bedford said.
"Big credit needs to go to the SIRU fellas for organising it, it was so professionally run."
Tumut pair Monique Bullock and Monique Toppin were among the best for the side.
They were clearly missed by their Southern Inland team who play their deferred game against Leeton on Saturday.
With five representative players missing, the Bullettes suffered just their fourth loss of the season.
The 30-0 result against the sixth-placed Dianas drops them to third on percentage and sees them in danger of missing out on a second chance come finals time.
They tackle Albury when the competition resumes on Saturday.
In other games Waratahs and CSU face off in a top-of-the-table clash, an in-form Ag College face Griffith while Leeton tackles Wagga City.
CSU's Ash Pike and Ag College's Zarah Besseling also performed well for Southern Inland with a foot issue to Griffith's Amelia Lolotonga their only injury concern.
Bedford is hoping to continue the representative program in some capacity as build up to the Super W trials later in the year.
