In 1968 the Folsom Prison album made Johnny Cash a legendary figure in popular music and the San Quentin prison was built off the back of that success. Five decades later musician Daniel Thompson will bring the show to life on Friday at the Griffith Regional Theatre. Tickets are $65 for adults and $55 for members.

Touring exhibition of Southern Highland Printmakers begins on Friday

First formed 24 years ago, the Southern Highland Printmakers are a group of 28 exhibiting artists. All artists have connections with the Southern Tablelands between Sydney and Canberra, and have each chosen a starting point for their work whether it's Australia's colonial artists like Joseph Lycett, or the modern greats or the crafts of Australia's first peoples. The exhibition officially opens at 6pm on Friday, with artists giving talks about their work on Saturday from 11am.

Leeton pulls out all the stops to go back in time

Events kick off from 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There's live period music, art deco walking tours leaving from the Roxy Theatre, a soapbox derby and a Flappers and Felons Ball.
