In the opening encounter between Barellan and Rankins Springs, it was level at the break with Greg Bonetti getting across for the Rams before Billy Overall got it back level for the Dragons.

The second half was a nail biter as the sides went try for try and in the dying embers of the game, the Rams were leading 22-18 before Jamie Parsons popped up for the Dragons to score with the final play to see Rankins Springs take a 24-22 victory.

In the second game, Narrandera proved a little too strong for Ivanhoe taking the points with a 30-18 win after holding a narrow advantage at the break.

The Lizards backline was probably the difference between the two sides with Wade Williams and Jamain Morgan in great form for the winners and caused plenty of problems with their speed.

The Narrandera side is in a good position to try and secure a finals berth with games against Hillston and Barellan in the final two rounds.

Ivanhoe is still right in the race but race a big test next Saturday against Rankins Springs, but in the Roosters favour the game is on their home track, Sahara Oval.

In the final game, the undefeated competition leaders Goolgowi, after a shaky start, proved far too good for a weakened Hillston outfit and all but ended the Bluebirds semi-finals aspirations putting in a strong finish to take a 28-12 victory.

Hillston went into the game without co-coaches Mark Rathmell, and Sam Fensom and the issues only got worse when they lost Jarrod Cahill with suspected broken ribs just before halftime. The home side came out strong in the first half however the Rabbitohs were able to withstand the early onslaught to see the sides go into the break level at 6-6.

Two early tries in the second half gave Goolgowi the momentum before Hillston hit back through Ben Wesley to make it 18-12 but another two tries late, one to James Fallon while Tom Condon scored his second to wrap up the win for the Rabbits.
