The event was sponsored by Danny's Store, who's owner, Ross Elliot, is a former two times club champion who, in one epic final, defeated club legend Ron Crowe in an 18-hole playoff.
The course was playing long due to the rain - it was a day for big hitters.
Jason Magoci fired par 71 to win the A Grade medal on 70 nett, out in one over par 37, nailing a birdie on the 5th then came home in one under par 34, carding birdies on the 10th and 11th.
Runner-up Josh Stapleton pushed him all the way, also carding 70 nett but lost the countback, shooting 69, 35 out and 34 in, draining a birdie on the 9th, then carded an eagle two on the 15th on a countback over Rob Trembath and Dean Minato.
Grant Keily, 70 nett, won the B Grade medal going around in 88 strokes, carding seven pars, ahead of Geoff Cotterill 71 nett, 90 off the stick, nailing a birdie on the 8th.
Stephen Lightfoot had no problems with the heavy going, taking out the C Grade medal with the day's low score of 63 nett, out in 42 home in 43, carding eight pars.
Runner-up Josh Smith also had a good day out, carding 69 nett, shooting 93 with eight pars.
Pro Pins won by Matt Staines and Josh Stapleton, Wallace Trembath won the Hanwood Butchery 4th, Andrew Noad 7th, Andy Arnold, Novus 11th, and Cody Stokes 16th.
Vouchers to 74 nett.
A two grade sinsle stableford on Sunday, saw Daniel Richens, 37 points, win 0-18 Grade on a countback over Darren Forrester, 37 points.
Geoff Cotterill, 35 points, won 19-36 Grade on a countback over Craig Dredge, 35 points.
Wayne Bottcher won the 7th pin, and Andrew Noad 11th.
Vouchers to 32 points.
The AGM has been set down for Monday, May 20 at 7pm. A resolution in regards to memberships will have to be resolved. Nomination forms for board positions are on the notice board.
A reminder of the new clinic times: vets 2pm Tuesday, ladies 4pm Friday, and the Junior Clinic is at 2pm Sunday.
A memo to the members that the Mid Week Competition next week will be played on Tuesday, May 14 due to the ladies' tournament on Wednesday, May 15.
