Jack John Moon faced Griffith Local Court on Wednesday after being caught driving with drugs in his system, just three days after having his licence suspended.

The 19-year-old was caught speeding in Yoogali on Irrigation Way on Thursday February 14. He was issued with a ticket and had his licence suspended immediately until May 13, 2019.
Three days after being suspended, Moon was again pulled up by police after they noticed him attempt an uncoordinated u-turn.
Police noticed the white Holden Colorado on Doolan Street at about 12.55am on Sunday conducting a u-turn that hit the edge of the cement kerb.
When they started to approach the car, Moon pulled over onto the side of the road and turned the headlights off.
Officers recognised Moon from the earlier offence when he stated he didn't have a licence to produce.
He was given a breath test which returned a negative reading, however tested positive when an oral test was administered.
Back at the station, the secondary test returned a positive reading to both cocaine and cannabis.
Moon's legal representative Nicholas Wordsworth said he couldn't provide an excuse or explanation for his actions, however said he pleaded guilty at first chance and acknowledged he had made poor choices.
"He has been made aware of the consequences of those poor choices... and made efforts to change his habits," Mr Wordsworth said.
He detailed character references which spoke highly of him as a well-known sporting enthusiast who coached junior sporting teams.
Magistrate Joy Boulos heard the submissions, yet said this wasn't the first time he had been caught by police breaking the law in a vehicle.
She said that in 2018 alone he lost seven demerit points for speeding and driving in a manner causing noise and smoke while still being a provisional driver.

"I hope you realise the consequences of your actions, and that I won't see you before court again," Magistrate Boulos told Moon.
Taking into consideration this was Moon's first time before court, the character references, a lack of criminal antecedents, he was convicted of both charges, given a $500 fine and a three month disqualification for driving with a suspended licence.
For driving with illicit drugs in his system, he was fined $800 and a further four months.disqualification, to be served concurrently.
