Hanwood looked to make the most of the early conditions after winning the toss with Angus Bartter and Tom Bartter opening the batting with a 37-run stand before Tom (17) was run out by Ben Wood.
The Hanwood side ran into trouble with the score on 55 as they lost five wickets for nine runs with Kyle Bennett (2/9) and Jack Hutchinson (2/19) picking up two wickets each.
Gulfam Ahmed and Inam Ullah tried to get their side to a competitive total with a 26-run partnership which was ended by Josh Smith (2/14) who picked up the wickets of Ullah (6) and Ahmed (19).
Fergus Cattanach (2/19) took the final two wickets of Liam Gilbert (2) and Angus Brown (0) to see Hanwood bowled out for 100 on the final ball of the innings.
While Coro lost Jack Hutchinson to the bowling Ben Rowston in the second over of their innings meaning the Cougars were looking to rebuild early with Jake Rand and Cattanach.
Rand (13) was the next wicket to fall for the Cougars with Rowston (2/15) to have Coro sitting on 2/28 after 8.2 overs leaving the side requiring another 72 runs from 160 deliveries.
The fall of Rand was the last of the success for Hanwood as Bennett and Cattanach were able to provide the level heads required to get their side across the line.
The Cougars had plenty of time on their hands and over the course of the next hour, Bennett (37*) and Cattanach (30*) able to guide their side into the third-grade decider with an eight-wicket win which condemned Hanwood to a straight sets exit after finishing on top of the table.
Exies is the side waiting to take on Coro on Friday evening after they had the week off after defeating Hanwood in the qualifying final.
In the two 35-over meetings between the side, they picked up a win each which points towards a competitive final when it gets underway at 5.45pm at Exies Oval on Friday evening.
