Firefighters from Yenda, Griffith, Leeton, Widgelli, and Hanwood were called in to help contain the blaze.
It was a rural property with no access to town water, but with the help of several firetrucks from around the area they managed to put out the fire.
Yenda RFS captain Gavin Raccanello said it was an exhausting battle, but that he was relieved that the fire was extinguished with no casualties.
"It's very fortunate that the owners were away at the time and there were no occupants at the dwelling," he said.
Griffith police are investigating the cause of the blaze.
This is just the latest in a string of fires that have erupted around the MIA this week.
Several of those fires were deemed to be suspicious in nature, and police officers are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to call Griffith Police Station on 6969 4299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
