After a successful first event last year the organisers are going for an event which will be bigger and better this time around according to one of the organisers Monique Watkin.
"This year should be a lot bigger and better, having introduced a "Junior rugby skills/development program" and a Ladies Rugby 7's game into the evening," she said.
"It should be a great weekend to get out and support the town."
Throughout the afternoon the Hillston Billy Lids will be catering a BBQ with drinks, and there will be a raffle with the money going towards Hillston Can Assist with first prize being a $400 voucher at Maddison Spa resort in Moama.
"Most of the money on the day will be going towards the Local Can Assist, who do an excellent job for supporting local families in need," she said.
"The rest of the money will be going towards the Hillston Hogs Rugby Union Club, so we can prepared for future charity matches."
The hope for Watkins is that events like this will create interest in Rugby Union in the town.
"Hopefully down the track we can get enough interest we will be able to enter back into the competitions again."
The event was born last year and had a personal feeling for Watkin.
"Last year my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer," she said.
"We were able to raise $12,000 for the Hillston Can Assist, and we got a good report back from the doctors, so it was a good weekend all around.
"It has been a tough year with the drought, and if we are able to come together and have some fun, I'll be happy. No blues just plenty of mateship and sportsmanship. It should be an absolutely cracking day."
An auction is currently been organised by the Cashmere Family to raise much-needed funds for Deyan Cashmere who is in need of medical treatment in the USA. All proceeds raised from the auction on the day will go directly to the family.
Watkins invited all in attendance to head to the Tatts Hotel where there will be a DJ as well as food and drinks as well as the winners of the raffle being drawn.
