The under 18s made it through to the final in the inaugural season of the new revamped competition, but new coach Tim Humphries isn't heading into the clash with lofty expectations.
"It's shaping up really good," Humphries said.
"We've had a good pre-season and having access to the likes of Anytime Fitness has improved the boys' strength and the fitness is coming along really good.
"I think we have a good forward pack to lay the foundation down for our backs to do all the fancy stuff."
There's a new-look Andrew Johns Cup side as well.
Troy Ryan has come on board with the under 16s side.
They didn't enjoy the same level of success as the older age group last season, but he hopes with the right attitude the results will come this time around.
"They are buying in and it is a big plus," Ryan said.
"They've got plenty of effort, have been training through the off-season and over Christmas."
Round one games are against GSR Wests Tigers in Camden.
