Dr Harford was appointed as general manager for the hospital in 2016, and has had almost 10 years with Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) and the former organisation.
MLHD’s Chief Executive Jill Ludford said Dr Harford has overseen a number of successful projects including the establishment of the MLHD Patient Flow Unit which has streamlined patient transfers across the region.
“In more recent times, Dr Harford has been an advocate for improving services at Griffith Base Hospital and has been influential in the development of notable relationships with the Aboriginal community and a diverse range of cultural groups,” Ms Ludford said.
Ms Ludford said Dr Harford’s knowledge and expertise have supported improved services across the region.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Harford for her commitment and contribution to the MLHD.”
The GBH General Manager position is currently being advertised.
In the interim, Ms Marianne Warren, MLHD’s Director Strategy and Planning and a former General Manager of Albury Base Hospital, is acting in the role.
