GDFA president Dom Schirripa believes it’s essential to develop coaches as they have a major influence over player development and feels Godbier will be a great asset.
“We are keen to get Mick amongst players and coaches and establish a great relationship,” Schirripa said.
“Our aim is to support our clubs to develop coaches and players to be the best they can be. Mick comes with a great wrap sheet, having served a long career in football as both a player and a coach.
“He’s made contributions to football and player development within our associations over many years and has coached at a Local Club, Branch, Riverina and NSW level.”

“Mick is also qualified to deliver Grassroots Coaching Certificates to our local coaches.”
Godbier is looking forward to the challenge of taking on the role.
