At 8.10am on Friday a 45-year-old man assaulted two female police officers and one Griffith Base Hospital employee, causing lacerations and bruising to the police officers.

He had been taken to Griffith Base Hospital for an intervention, but he refused to cooperate with police and hospital staff.
The man has been charged with assault and will be attending Griffith Local Court in the new year.
In other police news, at 4.00pm on December 30 a 43 year-old male driver was arrested and charged after testing positive during a random police breath test on Irrigation Way at Yoogali.
He was taken to Griffith for further testing and was found to have mid range PCA levels.
He had his licence suspended and will face Griffith Local Court in February.
