“One tree was blown out of the ground and a second was chopped in half,” Mr Macedone said.
“One month into summer and at night you’ve got to pull the blankets up,” he said.
Meanwhile, both Wagga Wagga and Albury were struck by flash flooding and motorists on the Hume Highway had to be winched to safety after flooding trapped cars and trucks.
