On December 17 Mr Lethlean will get together with five other Griffith Golf Club members to play a full day of charity golf.
The day will be a test of physical and mental endurance, especially given the sweltering time of year.
“It’ll be a tough day, but you put all that aside when you’re doing something for a good cause,” Mr Lethlean said.
“I think everyone’s had friends or family that have suffered from cancer at some point, so If I can help in a small way it’s a good thing.
“We’ve already raised a fair bit of money; a lot of the members have already donated which is fantastic.”
As the club’s professional golfer, Mr Lethlean has done other charity events before and he says they always make for a fun day out.
He is currently looking for sponsors for his golf challenge, and he can be contacted at the Griffith Pro Shop on 69623742.
