This week Mrs Haggarty, who is the craft convener, has been selecting the finest examples of handmade craft to display in the front window of John Dodd’s Pharmacy on Banna Avenue.
The Uniting Church’s fete will be held on November 23 from 5pm on Beal Street.
Mrs Haggarty said the fete was being held a little later this year to avoid clashing with other events.
“Our first date coincided with the Garden Festival so have moved it so it doesn’t clash with anything else,” she said.
Mrs Haggarty said there would be plenty of handcrafted things which made ideal gifts for Christmas.
There’s also fresh fruit and veggies, trash and treasure and $2 lucky dips.
The fete will also boast plenty of food with Fijian, Samoan and Tongan food on offer, as well as some sweet treats from the Cook Islands.
“There’s plenty of food for everyone from salads to barbecues to Islander food.”
