After winning the toss and elected to bat, the Panthers would have been looking to make to most of the time out in the middle however the Exies bowlers had different ideas.
Andrew Arnold (1/21) took the wicket of Ryan Greenaway (2) with the score on five while Marc Tucker (2/25) dismissed Andrew Madden (2) and Jimmy Binks (2) in the same over to have Leagues struggling at 3/21.
Reece and Logan Matheson tried to lead a fight back for the Leagues side and were able to get their team moving in the right direction.
The pair put on 39 runs for the fourth wicket before Reece Matheson (8) became the first victim of the bowling of Tom Spry.
Conor Edenden came out to join Logan Matheson however when Edenden (6) was caught by Aditha Jayasuriya off the bowling of Joel Mulder (1/13) it triggered a collapse from the Panthers.
Logan Matheson (53), Babar Safdar (0) and Paul Plummer (6) fell to the bowling of Spry (4/35) while Connor Bock picked up the wicket of Derek Opo (0) to see Leagues lose 5/22 and looking at the prospect of being bowled out for less than 100.
Liam Warren (3*) and Fawad Shah (12) added 20 runs for the final wicket to see Leagues bowled out for 105 when Bock (2/10) taking the final wicket.
Exies were never troubled in the chase as Travers Pickmere and captain Phil Burge laid the foundation for their side. The pair put on 26 runs for the first-wicket before Pickmere (17) fell to the bowling of Plummer (1/10).
The wicket did little to halt the progress from the Exies side as Jamie Winkler joined his skipper out in the middle and the pair pushed their side towards victory.
While Winkler (18) fell to the bowling of Binks (1/19), Exies were primed to take a convincing victory needing 39-runs to secure the victory.
Burge and Spry looked to be guiding their side to victory before Burge was caught by Binks off the bowling of Warren (1/24). It only delayed the inevitable as Spry (22*) and Tucker (2*) guided their side to a seven-wicket win.
Exies will look to make it six wins from as many matches when they take on Diggers while Leagues will take on Coro.
