The world premiere of Leeton actor Jake Speer’s short film Inside Water will be held at the Roxy Theatre on October 20.
After filming the movie in his hometown area, Mr Speer promised it would be Leeton shire that would see the first glimpse.
“I can't tell you how excited I am to have the very first public screening of Inside Water in Leeton,” he said.
“Right from the beginning we knew if we were to film in Leeton then the only place to have the world premiere would be of course, in Leeton.

“One thing we found in the making of the film is that although it's only a short film it has such a vast, cinematic feel to it that it is best experienced on the big screen.
“So this will be the perfect opportunity for Leeton locals to see the film how it is meant to be seen.”
The evening will begin with the screening Inside Water, which was filmed in the Leeton area in April this year.
This will be followed by the 40 minute "making of" documentary, which goes behind the scenes to reveal the journey of the film's creators Jake Speer and D'Arby Deck.
Viewers will get a glimpse of what went into the making of Inside Water and all the creatives, technicians and members of the Leeton community who made it possible.
“When it came time to show the film for the first time I knew I wanted to create an event that was about more than just the film,” Mr Speer said.
“I saw it as an opportunity for others to benefit and share the spotlight which is why we have partnered with the local charity Riverina Bluebell.
“We never intended Inside Water to be a ‘social movement’ film, it's a rich and detailed film about many things, however mental health is a big theme throughout the film.”
Although there is no official classification for the film, the film does contain some violence. Parental guidance is recommended.
Tickets are available online at www.roxyleeton.com.au or by calling 6953 2074. Inside Water stars Mr Speer, Myles Pollard and Maggie Dence and was directed by D'Arby Deck.
Red carpet arrivals will begin at 6.30pm with the screening to take place at 7.30pm.
