The Group 20 under 17s side had a successful weekend as they came away with a 22-10 win over rivals Group Nine at the Riverina Trials at Solar Mad Stadium on Saturday.

Group 20 were able to create plenty of forward pressure but weren’t able to get any points on the board, and it looked like the day was going to get harder when Tom Bowditch was taken from the field.
Against the run of play, the Group Nine side was able to open the scoring when Ty Tindalevale was able to score in the corner and with the successful conversion from Jacob Lucas they lead 6-0.
Off the back of a succession of penalties given away by the Group Nine side, Blake Wood got the Razorbacks on the scoreboard.
Jack Elphick extend the lead for the Group Nine side to see them head into the halftime break with a 10-4 lead.
Group 20 were able to find their footing in the game after the break when Braxton Wallace found his way to line to lock the scores at 10-all.
Blake Wood scored his second for the day to give Group 20 their first lead for the day after a short run the line and the win was secured when Charles Kwan was fed into a hole and found his way to the line.
The afternoon got tougher for the Group Nine side when Thomas Jenkins was sent for an early shower after he was sent to the sin bin with just three minutes left on the clock for persistent backchat.
Group 20 weren’t able to take advantage of the extra man but already possessed the match-winning lead as they came away with the 22-10 victory.
