The Sharks started strongly with Logan Biggin and Timana Cromelin able to give their side an early 10-0 lead before the Hawks pulled level heading into halftime with Daniel Trembath and Brodie Semmler getting across to make it 10-all.
With nine minutes gone in the second half, the Sharks were able to take the lead against with Johnathan Harris able to get across in the corner.
The Hawks came to life off the back of a 40-20 from captain Josh Elworthy who was then able to finish the play with a try under the post to give his side a two-point lead.
With less than 10 minutes remaining, Elworthy was able to score his second of the game to wrap up a 22-14 win for the Hawks.
With the Hawks taking out the preliminary final they have eliminated the minor premiers and will now prepare for a strong Yenda side.
