Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District were out in force, with rest days cancelled for some officers to cover both main roads and back roads.
Police conducted 384 random breath tests over the weekend from Friday 24 until Sunday 26, and found two people driving with low range and one with a medium range of alcohol in their blood.
They caught seven people speeding, ticketed five drivers for various other infringements and searched on person and another vehicle.
Inspector Nick Seddon said it was great to see the community behaving well on the roads, however it was disappointing to see even one person putting others at risk.

“The number of random breath tests we conducted and only three positive results across the district is a good result, and we just want to reinforce police are out there trying to reduce injuries and rural road trauma, and the majority of the community are taking heed,” Inspector Seddon said.
“We are there all the time and we make no apologies for it, for those who still continue to put themselves and others in danger – one person doing the wrong thing is too many.”
