Police thank the community as they charge a man for allegedly stealing diesel fuel from a rural property in Coleambally.

The 22-year-old man was charged with aggravated trespass (Rural Industry) and stealing diesel fuel, after being identified by the property owner.
He will appear before the Griffith Local Court on October 10.
The Murrumbidgee Rural Crime Investigator thanks the community for providing information and encourages all rural residents to report all rural crime, remain vigilant of suspicious activity around farmland and speak to your neighbours.
He asks residents ensure the basic security measures are in place such as:
- locking gates, machinery sheds and fuel tanks.
- Record accurate numbers in livestock and check livestock regularly.
- Ensure fences are stock proof and consider permanent identification of all livestock including ear marks and branding.
Police also recommend having security and Bio-security signage on the entry and exits of the property including boundary fences. The use of farm cameras are also recommended.
