With over 70 salamis now submitted, Mr Catanzariti is going through the meticulous process to tag them for judging.
Check out his explanation in the video below:
Those who haven’t had the chance to enter their salami in this year’s competition still have time to test their metal against the best of the best Griffith has to offer.
Entry forms can be found at MIA Casa, Leo Franco Motors or TLE Electrical and Data Suppliers Griffith, or call Roy Catanzariti on 0412 777 147.
You have until Friday August 24 before you miss your chance.
Salamis must be 1kg in weight so there is enough for judging – which will be held on August 25 at the Yoogali Club, with 24 celebrity and local judges deciding on the best home-made salami.
The prestigious title is kept secret until the announcements the following day at the festival, once again hosted by John Mangos and new special guest Tracey Spicer
