Mr Pierotti said it’s important Murray residents take the time to ask questions of their state and federal member of parliament.
In what he promises will be a “candid” chat, Griffith’s Business Chamber are hosting a Q&A with Austin Evans.
The NSW state election is in March next year. This is your chance to ask Austin Evans about the things you would like to see to help our region grow and prosper,” he said.
“It’s a great opportunity for members of the public to hear directly from our new member on things like water, education, the hospital and the upgrade, decentralisation, housing and the housing crisis, transport, and anything else.”
Mr Pierotti said it provides a unique opportunity.

“It’s not often members of the public get a chance to talk directly to our member of parliament. Other than when politicians are campaigning for an election, it’s rare we see or hear from them,” he said.
“Members of the public need to understand the policies and agendas from our elected representatives. We need to make sure the questions we want raised and policies we want addressed are clearly articulated.”
He also gave kudos to Mr Evans for being open to the forum.
“Not a lot of politicians allow this open and candid opportunity, not only are they extremely busy it can be quite confronting.” he said.
“I can assure Austin, it will be extremely civil and calm. People will expect there to be robust, candid discussion, but we will guarantee it will be done in a diplomatic and civil matter.”
Mr Evans said the evening provided “a good opportunity” for voters.
“It’s a good chance to come and ask questions … I want to be available for people. People can always call in and make an appointment, but this provides another kind of opportunity.”
The forum will take place on Thursday, August 23 at 6pm at Griffith Exies. For more information or to register, email info@griffithbusinesschamber.com.au
