The almost four seasons of weather in one day affected scoring at the Griffith Golf Club last Saturday in a single stableford with 55 payers.

Mark Brown, 36, won A Grade, nailing a birdie on the 16th, but his 19-point back nine won him the countback over Brad Lemon who also carded 36 points. Lemon carded birdies on the 1st and 18th.
Garry Hartnett, 38, won B Grade, draining a birdie on the 10th, ahead of John Badoco, 34, with four pars.
John Dalton, 40, won C Grade, on fire on the front nine, carding 25 points with seven three pointers, then only managed 16 home. Alan Le Broque, 38, was second, carding four point pars on the 4th and 12th.
Pro Pins won by Nathan Campbell and Allan Murnane. Par Three: 4th Mark Webb, 7th Turir Phillip, 11th Brett Polkinghorne, 16th Mark Webb. Vouchers to 32 points.
A solid field contested Sunday’s single stableford. Graeme Richens, 39, won A Grade on a countback over Peter Henderson, 39. Shane Hill, 38, best in B Grade from Brendon Peters, 37.
Daniel Richens, 34, won C Grade, Mike Catanzariti, 33, on a countback voer Kevin Dodds.
Rod McNabb won the 7th pin, Jason Magoci, 16th. Vouchers to 18 points.
Peter Henderson, 22, won the NIne Hole Comp from Shane Hill, 21, on a countback over Graeme Richens, 21. Vouchers to 18 points.
In the Ladies Nine Holes, Robyn Barrington 22 points won, Dorian Radue, 21, second. Vouchers to 18 points.
The Club Board advises that following the resignation of club captain Jeff Wiscombe, John Dalton has taken his position. It means the board vacancy will need to be filled. Any members who would like to fill the vacancy could they please contact Wayne Moat or Robin Salvestro.
If more than one nominate by Monday, August 27 an election will be held that night.
The club is also seeking volunteers to help man the Pro Shop from time to time. They must be RSA qualified. Please contact Wayne Moat.

A huge two days of golf this coming weekend. Saturday is a single stableford and the first of five rounds of Handiskins in conjunction. Sunday the Midwest Conveyor & Belting Services Greenkeepers Revenge. A 10am shotgun start with a lot of extra prizes. Today’s event is a single stableford.
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday.
Tony McBride, 40, won 0-18 over Roy Calabria, 39. Byron James, 40, won 19-24 on a countback over Garry Purcell. Lindsay Martyn, 41, won 25-36 ahead of Tom Morgan, 36. Gerry Cox won the 7th, Mike Hedditch 11th Tony McBride 16th. Vouchers to 35 points.

A two grade single stableford last Wednesday saw Jeff Wiscombe, 39, win 0-18 over Joe Cudmore, 38, on a countback over Albert Donadel. Stephen Lightfoot, 39, won 19-36 from Derek Langford, 37. Vouchers to 35 points.
