The large printouts have been made available to be accessible to everyone in the Griffith Community.
Griffith mayor John Dal Broi is excited for the opportunity to present the print-outs, and says it’s also a chance for people to give their feedback – made possible with suggestion boxes at both the chambers and Library.
“The printouts give people the opportunity to visualise the plan for our hospital,” Cr Dal Broi said.
“At our breakfast meeting last week, all of the local representatives agreed than Option Six is the best fit from MLHD.”
The Health Department will consider the community’s submitted proposals for the Nurses Quarters in around two weeks, and Cr Dal Broi says as long as no money from the allocated $35 million for the hospital redevelopment goes into the building, he is “happy.”
“If the Department of Health says the Nurses’ Quarters can stay, I am happy. And if they say it should go, I am happy,” Cr Dal Broi said.

“I will not be happy if any of the money we’ve been promised goes into the building for any unrelated purpose.”
The print-outs will remain in place for at least two weeks, however MLHD have said they can stay as long as necessary.
