The difficulty of the afternoon started early as the Riverina side fell 1-0 down after just two minutes when Mate Barisic opened the scoring.
The hosts were able to add their lead after being awarded a penalty, and Shane Murray didn’t miss his chance to double their lead to head into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
The Rhinos were unable to find the goal they needed to get back into the games before Tuggeranong struck again.
Just before the hour mark Aisosa Ihegie was able to find the back of the net to make it 3-0 and wrap up the three points which see them remain in the fight for a top three position.
The afternoon didn’t get any better for the Rhinos when captain Joe Preece was given his marching orders after receiving two yellow cards.
The Rhinos now have a week off before heading back to Canberra to take on Gungahlin.
