Representatives from Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) and NSW Health Infrastructure are on hand for two day to answer any questions or concerns passersby may have about the new hospital.
MHLD’s Director of Operations Brett Thompson said he’d enjoyed the opportunity for consultation and the chance to present the plan to other members of the public.
“Today and tomorrow we’ve set up shop front to provide the local community with the opportunity to come and have a look at the master plan, ask any questions they want to … and it’s a good chance for us to get some feedback on what the plan looks like or what their thoughts are,” he said.

The preferred option for the Master Plan has been online since Wednesday May 16, and the shop will be back on Saturday, May 26 for another pop-up shop.
“Obviously we’ve had a few questions on the nurses quarters. We’re really pleased, we’ve had quite a good roll up of people today,” he said,
Mr Thompson said people have also asked questions about what will happen to the old hospital buildings, timing, types of services provided, layout and the positioning of services.
“It gives us a chance to field test and make sure what we’re thinking makes sense, our ability to explain things and what those changes might be. For example, the proposal to have the location in a different place to where it is now.”
The second pop-up shop will be held at Griffith Central Plaza on Saturday, May 26 between 10am and 2pm.
